Reaching Out

My timing's off
I know it's off
There's nothing I can do
It's how I feel
I cannot stop the way I feel
And that's the truth
I've got you on my mind a lot
It probably scares you off
The way I talk
The way it comes across
The way it feels when something moves too fast
Why can't we take it slow
At least until we know that this will last?
What do you know that I don't?
Are you alone with no hope?

It's nice to stay
To find a place to call your home
It's good to roam
Whether together or whether alone
It's good to reach
To see how far that you can reach
Instead of wait

It's good to dream
We've got to dream just like we think
And hopefully we can find ourselves a little peace
